What To Expect

Beginning therapy can feel like a daunting and unknown process, here’s a bit of what you can expect from starting the process at Countryside Therapy.

Step One — Referral and Initial Contact

Patients can be referred to us through various sources, including doctors, parents, teachers, or other therapists. Once we receive a referral, our team will gather the necessary information and promptly reach out to your insurance company to verify your benefits. Afterward, we’ll schedule an initial evaluation with one of our skilled therapists. This first step ensures that we have a clear understanding of the patient’s needs and how best to support them.

Step Two — Evaluation and Authorization Process

Following the evaluation, the therapist will prepare a detailed report outlining the patient’s current condition and recommended treatment plan. This report is then sent to the patient’s primary care physician for review and signature. Once we receive the signed evaluation back, we will forward it to the insurance company to obtain the necessary authorization for treatment. This step ensures that the therapy plan is fully approved, so there are no surprises or delays in starting care.

Step 3 — Scheduling and Starting Treatment

With insurance authorization in place, Countryside Therapy is ready to begin treatment. The therapist will contact you directly to schedule regular sessions tailored to the patient’s needs and your family’s schedule. Most patients are scheduled for one session a week, each session lasting 45 minutes to an hour, though this can vary depending on the patient. We strive to create a consistent routine that fits seamlessly into your life, ensuring that each therapy session is a positive and productive experience.
